When a taxi beats the train from Chessington
Chessington South and Chessington North have direct trains to Waterloo, but every other London terminal needs at least one change. A car is the better option when you have heavy luggage, travel with children, need an early or late connection, or face weekend engineering works. For groups, one fixed fare in a 6 or 7 seater can cost less than several rail tickets.
