Getting around Tolworth by cab
Tolworth is defined by its junction: the big roundabout where the A3 meets the A240 Kingston Road and Ewell Road, overlooked by Tolworth Tower. That makes it one of the best-connected spots in the area, and also one of the most congested at rush hour. A pre-booked Tolworth cab removes the parking problem and fixes the fare before you set off.
We collect from homes on both sides of the A3, the shops along Tolworth Broadway, the streets near Tolworth Girls' School and the roads leading down towards Tolworth Court Farm Fields.
Tolworth minicabs for local trips
Popular Tolworth minicabs include:
- short hops to Tolworth station, or to Surbiton for faster London trains
- trips into Kingston for the shops, the hospital or Kingston University
- runs to supermarkets and retail parks along the A3
- journeys to Ewell and Epsom along the A240
- regular school runs to schools in Tolworth, Surbiton and Hook
Need something more spacious? Our 6 seater MPVs are ideal for families.
Tolworth airport transfers and airport taxis
From Tolworth, the A3 and M25 make both Heathrow and Gatwick straightforward drives. Our Tolworth airport transfers include flight tracking on every pickup, so a Tolworth airport taxi home is waiting when you land, not when you were scheduled to. Choose meet and greet to have the driver meet you inside arrivals.
| From Tolworth to | Typical drive |
|---|---|
| Heathrow | 35–45 minutes |
| Gatwick | 35–45 minutes |
| London City | 60–80 minutes |
| Stansted | 80–100 minutes |
Tolworth station taxis
Tolworth station is on the Chessington branch line to Waterloo. Our Tolworth station taxis cover the short trip to the platform when it is raining or you have bags, and longer runs to London terminals such as Paddington, Euston and London Bridge when a direct car is simpler than changing trains.
Cheap Tolworth taxis on fixed fares
A cheap Tolworth taxi should not mean a surprise at the end. We quote a fixed fare when you book, so heavy traffic at the Tolworth roundabout does not change what you pay. Payment is by card or cash.
Tolworth landmarks and local journeys
Tolworth Tower has been a local landmark since the 1960s, and the area around it continues to change, with new homes and businesses around the Broadway. South of the A3, Tolworth Court Farm Fields offers open countryside along the Hogsmill River, a surprise for many people who only know Tolworth from the roundabout.
Because Tolworth sits on the boundary between Kingston and Surbiton on one side and Ewell and Epsom on the other, journeys often cross borough lines. That is no problem for us: our drivers cover both directions daily. Typical local trips take between five and fifteen minutes, depending on the time of day and the traffic at the A3 junction. For evening events at Kingston's Rose Theatre or a meal in Surbiton, a fixed fare home is booked in the same call.
